Hmm, I though maybe colic, she got up and walked a bit then went half down again, then walked a bit then went half down again, and she did this serveral times.
But it did not quite look like she had colic, the she walked along with her neck realy low and green snot coming out her nose, CHOKE!
But only a mild case as she could still breath some. So rushed back to the top for a halter and the phone, and back down the her.
She was not panicking in anyway, and I was massaging her neck as I rang the vet. I had to wait for him to ring back.
So I massaged, and rolled her neck from side to side, as well as doing Crocodile stretches, and told her she was doing great.
I also imagined her coughing the stuff up. She had these interesting sounds coming from her through and under her jaw, and slowely green slime started to come out her nose and mouth and I could see her do a bit swollowed a couple of times.
The she put her head up and was interested in E walking up the hill, and then was making for the pile of hay! Uh Uh not you don't Ata, and I took her into the Arena for a groom while the others ate the hay.
She snorted a little bit more out her nose and had a couple more big swollows and some very burpy sounds, while I was grooming her, and then I thought I would let her have a little graze, so I unclipped her and she stuck close to me, and snuggled in for a cuddle, it took her about 5 minutes before she would go and have a graze. I think she was saying thank you.
The vet rang back while I was grooming her and said I had done the right things. And that it would be fine for her to have hay tonight.
I also noticed when I logged on here how long it has been since I last posted!
Mainly cause it has been so wet, that I have not been doing much, cept the basics of feeding and caring for them all.
I have been getting a few short rides in on Sophie, catching the others and giving them a quick groom and hoof trim now and then.
I cannot not wait till spring!
